World Stroke Day on October 29 is dedicated to raising awareness about stroke, its prevention, treatment, and recovery.

It brings together survivors, caregivers, health professionals, and communities to:

  • Educate people about the warning signs of stroke
  • Promote healthy lifestyles to reduce risk
  • Support those recovering from stroke

The day also highlights the importance of early action, as quick medical response can save lives and reduce long-term disability. Events like community gatherings, health talks, and support programs (such as Talkshop) help encourage connection, hope, and ongoing recovery for stroke survivors.
