World Stroke Day, 29 October (in Fiji)

29 October each year

World Stroke Day is observed globally on 29 October every year. It is a powerful reminder that stroke remains one of the world's leading causes of death and disability, and that action is needed now.

In Fiji, Counterstroke Fiji joins the global movement by organising awareness events, media campaigns, and community health checks on and around 29 October. We align our efforts with the World Stroke Organisation's annual theme to amplify the message across Fiji.

World Stroke Day reminds us that stroke can affect anyone, at any age. By working together, as a community, a nation, and a global family, we can reduce the burden of stroke and save more lives.
